To protect the existing tiled terrace, we used a low-impact mounting system. Instead of pouring a full concrete foundation, each column is secured with small, discrete anchor points that only require minor drilling into the pavers. The weighted base design keeps the structure fully stable and safe, while leaving the vast majority of the original tiling completely intact. Installation took only three days, with no heavy construction work that would disturb hotel guests.

For the mountain climate, all steel frame components go through a full hot-dip galvanizing process before powder coating, creating a double layer of rust and moisture protection. The LLDPE plastic parts are formulated with UV stabilizers and anti-mildew additives, so they resist fading and discoloration even with long-term exposure to fog and damp air. The smooth, seamless surfaces wipe clean easily with water, so the hotel’s regular housekeeping staff can handle daily upkeep without extra training.

The bright yellow and blue submarine theme adds a cheerful, friendly feel to the shaded terrace. Decorative rocket and diving helmet details tie the underwater exploration theme together, and the vibrant colors stand out nicely against the neutral building walls and rocky mountain backdrop.
